Ninjas at the park

After a round of disc golf, Mrs. Fronk transformed the girls into ninjas for a physical challenge.  Well, ninjas with beards and glitter!  It was close, but the older sibling team won (this time).

Starting off summer

Today the Wales Camp went to Nagawaukee to learn how to build campfires.  They left a surprise for the next camper to come by - a fire ready to light!

Yesterday our younger group of rainbows experimented with shaving cream and foam blocks to build.  It did not work quite like mortar but sure was fun!

Pre-K June Family Night

Our pre-k program had a end of year celebration last night.  It was held at Wales Elementary school where many of the children will be attending in the fall or in future years.  Families had the opportunity to play games together and enjoy a pasta dinner.  Each child presented a school picture to their parent before leaving.  It was a joyous and fun time for all!

After some fun on the playground, the kids needed to relax with paint Thursday afternoon at our Wales Elementary after school program.

Outdoor fun

Jakob participated in the soldier boot camp activity today.  BILC was thinking about our service men and women for Memorial Day. 

Brayden used a PVC pipe to help his balance on the playground today.

Jackson and Brady were a hit on the stage Thursday afternoon!

Pre-k took a trip to the Wales Culver's on Thursday.  Each child was responsible for ordering their own meal, paying for it with cash, taking their number to the table, and cleaning up afterwards.  A community member commented to the children about their great manners and good behavior before we left.  What a fun learning experience!!!

Last No School Day of the 2016-17 School Year

An elaborate kitchen & house area was constructed on the playground today.  A group of about 15 kids played here for hours. The creativity and cooperation was amazing!

 Some of the boys designed Lego marble tracks.  Somehow an activity the teachers thought would go for 15 minutes went on for over an hour.  How they love Legos!

 Best part of the day... hiking down a steep hill at Lapham Peak.  The older kids assisted the prek kids to safely make it down. No injuries and no tears - but what a challenge it was!
